Spring is in full swing, and with spring comes warmer temperatures. Which means the down comforter or quilt that felt like the perfect fit in winter is starting to feel too hot for sleeping comfortably in these rising temps.
It’s time to swap out that heavy bedding for something more spring-appropriate. But what, exactly, does that look like?
A recent article from realtor.com outlined current bedding trends that are perfect for spring (and summer!), including:
- Cotton block-print quilt. If you like the look and feel of a quilt, swap out your heavy winter quilt for something more lightweight and appropriate for spring, like a cotton block-print quilt. These quilts also feature vibrant, nature-inspired patterns, so not only will it help you keep cool as the days get warmer, but it will also add visual interest to your bedroom.
- Linen sheets. Linen is an ideal bedding fabric for spring. If you want your sheets to feel especially on-trend this spring, opt for a pastel hue, like a pale blue, yellow, or pink.
- Velvet cinched pillows. Velvet is often viewed as a winter fabric. But you can incorporate this luxe material into your bedroom year-round, as long as you limit it to accessories. Try adding a few velvet cinched throw pillows to your bed, which will add a nice pop of color.
