The new year is officially upon us, and with it comes new trends in home decor, including kitchen design.
But what, exactly, are 2024’s hottest kitchen design trends?
A recent article from realtor.com outlined their picks for the most in-demand kitchen trends for the coming year, including:
- Open shelving. Not only does open shelving give you easy access to plates, bowls, and other items, it also creates visual interest, and lends a decorative look to your kitchen that’s significantly more affordable than other storage options, like full cabinets.
- Coffee stations. Post-pandemic, more people are working from home than ever before, which is probably why in-kitchen coffee stations have become increasingly popular. Creating a coffee station in your kitchen gives you easy access to everything you need for your morning cup of joe, and (depending on how you decorate it) it can also become a focal point of your kitchen design.
- Sky blue. Every year, paint companies announce their “Color of the Year.” This year, Benjamin Moore’s choice is Blue Nova, a mid-tone sky blue with hints of violet, and that color is sure to be everywhere, including in kitchens.
